Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, addressing their needs and concerns regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Accurately assess customer issues by gathering information on vehicle performance and history.
- Prepare detailed estimates for repairs, including parts, labor, and any additional services needed.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure clarity on repairs needed and timelines for completion.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle history in the system.
- Follow up with customers regarding their service experience and ensure satisfaction with completed work.
- Promote additional services or products that may benefit the customer based on their vehicle's needs.
- Stay updated on automotive trends, technologies, and best practices in order to provide knowledgeable recommendations.
Experience
- Previous experience in a customer service or sales role is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, including auto estimating, air brake systems, auto body repair, and general vehicle maintenance is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment where multitasking is required will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- A background in mechanics or automotive technology will be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
